Under the Island Sun: Hawaii FKT Routes

The rugged volcanoes and carved valleys of the Hawaiian islands present challenging FKTS. Sacred sites and private land mean that options for new routes are limited. But there are still routes to be explored! Of the 29 posted routes and variations, 16 don’t have a posted women’s times (55.2%).

In 2022, women set just 3 of the 18 FKTs in Hawaii (16.7%). We hope to see more women on these routes in the future.

If you want to set an FKT on a route that does not have a posted women’s FKT, you should search for known times on Strava and Google.
