With only a handful of routes, Mississippi is a state where we are hopeful to change the statistics for women’s participation. As of May 30, 2023, there are no posted women’s FKTs.
If you want to set an FKT on a route that does not have a posted women’s FKT, you should search for known times on Strava and Google.
If you are looking to create a new route in Mississippi to pursue, some ideas to consider:
- An “All Trails” challenge at a park, where you choose the route to run every trail in that park
- A section of the Natchez Trace Parkway (all of MS, for example)
- A Loop or 24 Hour challenge on a shorter trail
