With big, popular routes like the Grand Canyon Rimn to Rim to Rim and the Arizona Trail, it’s not surprising that women’s participation in FKTs in the desert state is strong. In 2022, 47% of the new FKTS were set by women, and only 29 of the 66 posted routes don’t have a posted women’s time (44%).
If you want to set an FKT on a route that does not have a posted women’s FKT, you should search for known times on Strava and Google.
But even with such a strong showing from the women, there are still plenty of opportunities to chase FKTs in Arizona. No woman has recorded a triple R2R2R yet! Will it be you?
